This book is written to support trauma survivors. The word “survivor” is used because it is a word that suggests moving forward while healing and the intent of the “Surviving Trauma” book is to help people move forward from a traumatic event/s while they heal. The purpose of the book is help survivors understand the different emotions and reactions they may experience from a single, or multiple traumatic events. Once the reader has an understanding of the different effects trauma can have on the body, brain, emotions and behaviors the manual will discuss was to reduce and cope with these effects.
